Snow Globe Writing – Add a twist to the typical snow globe writing by having your students do this fun activity! Instead of having the children write about being trapped in a regular snow globe, have them write and draw about being stuck in any globe of their choice! Examples: a jungle globe, a space globe, a candy globe, an ocean globe, etc.
After writing, the children can decorate their globes with crayons, markers, paint, paper, etc. These make a fun shape book that they can share with their classmates and families when completed!
I have provided different pages and ideas for you to use so that you can differentiate this activity for your class depending on their writing ability.
This snow globe writing/art packet includes the following six pages:
• Detailed instructions and ideas for this activity
• A shape book cover
• Three different styles of the writing page (fill-in the blank poem page for non-writers, wide dotted lined paper for simple writing, and regular lined paper for detailed writing)
• An illustration page
After the children cut out and collate all their pages, it is fun for them to share their snow globe writing book with their classmates and families!
I hope you enjoy this packet!
