There are 27 snowmen for students to build and practice making tens and ones.
This pack allows for differentiation on 3 different levels: there are whole numbers 10 - 90 and mixed numbers 11 - 19 and various mixed numbers 21 - 99.
There are 2 practice sheets for writing and drawing tens and ones including expanded form for the mixed numbers.
*The snowmen are color coded for easy self check for students to work independently.
Common Core Math Standards covered:
1.NBT.2A- Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases: 10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones — called a “ten.”
1.NBT.2B- Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases: The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
Just print on cardstock, laminate, cut out snowmen body parts and students can enjoy the 3 leveled games as a center.
