Such a fun and exciting resource to use in centers, small group or one on one instruction! Your students are sure to get excited about learning composing and decomposing numbers to 10 with this engaging resource.
**We have created 5 different colored snowball tower building mats (white, blue, , pink, green and purple). We have also created snowball counting cards to 10 to match each mat.
*For centers or small group: You can print each colored set so each child has their own color and they don’t get mixed up.
*How to Play: Can be played individually or with a partner.
The student/s pull a card out of a bucket and build that number on the snowball mat. They count how many snowballs are left to add to 10. Ex. Child pulls the number 3 out of the bucket. They place three pom poms (for snowballs)or counters on the mat and count how many are left to get to 10 (7). They then write the number 7 on the corresponding sheet and set that number card aside. They keep going until all of the number sentences to 10 have been filled up on the work sheet.
*Another way to play: We have also created number sentence cards. They can pull the number sentence card out of the bucket and build it on the snowball mat.
Can be differentiated to meet the needs of a variety of learners.
