These puzzles are perfect for reviewing identifying letters and giving their sounds in the winter months. Students play by matching capital letters to either the corresponding lower case letter or one of several beginning sound pictures. You may also choose to distribute 3 - 4 snowman tops to each player and shuffle bottoms. Students draw cards, then determine if it matches one of their snowmen.
In addition, there are several worksheets included. If using as a literacy center, there are open-ended worksheets that you can use to hold students accountable for what they did at this center. They write a letter at the top of the snowman, then either write the corresponding lower case letter or draw a picture that starts with the given letter. There are also 5 matching capital to lower case letters and 6 beginning sound worksheets. These can be used as extra practice, morning work, or homework.
I hope your students enjoy using these to practice their developing skills during the winter months.
