Snowman/Winter fun playing around with words activity! This is an activity where students read words and change the middle sound to make a new word. Students practice manipulating the middle sound of words. In this activity students follow the direction on the the snowman card, example, change /a/ to /i/ in sax and then they match the direction card to the hat picture card with the new word on it. It comes with a worksheet where students glue the picture to the new word that has been made. Print this activity on card stock, laminate for durability and have students start practicing. This is a great activity for a learning station working with manipulating letters and words. Great for Kindergarten or lower level first graders.
