Glyphs tell about the person who made them! Glyph is short for hieroglyphics. It's art with information! Think of it as taking your art to a new level! Print the attached pages. Make enough copies of page 2 so that each student will have the supplies they need. Additionally, each student will need a piece of construction paper at lease 41/2' by 12" for their snowman. Students begin by tracing or free-handing the correct amount of circles according to the Legend. Students use markers or crayons, buttons and resource page of shapes to complete their snowman. When the glyph is complete it will tell about the student who made it! Anyone who reads the glyph will know if they are a boy or girl, what color their eyes are, if they've ever built a snowman, if they prefer warm or cold weather, if they prefer to play indoors or outdoors in winter and how many people are in their family! Your students will LOVE it!
