### Description

Keep your students engaged during the holiday season with this perfect Design a Snowman math activity! Students will practice adding and subtracting decimals while selecting their favorite items to create a snowman. Your students are sure to be engaged and their energy will be channeled towards something academic!

How to Use:

• Students will select items from the "Snowman Store" to purchase. They'll pick their favorite snowman bodies, hats, scarfs, and other accessories.
• Students will then add up the price of their snowman as they draw it on the recording sheet.

Creative Ways to Set Up:

• Print the store on cardstock and give to each group or partner set.
• Print the store on poster paper and display at the front of the room.
• Print the store on paper and display in multiple places around the room.
• Print the store on paper and display in picture frames or plastic sleeves.

Directions:

In this fun and interactive adding decimals activity, students are asked to build a snowman on a budget.  Using the provided supply menus, students will practice adding decimals as they determine which supplies to use to build the snowman.  There are leveled activities with increasing complexity in numbers. This makes it easy for you to differentiate for the needs of your students.
