Snowman Sounds!: Two Initial Sounds and Letter Identification Matching Games

This product has 2 Games! These fun and easy to use Winter-themed games will allow the teacher to teach, practice or reinforce identifying initial sounds and/or letter identification. These literacy skills will help early readers or readers who need to improve their skills or readers who just need to practice these skills. I even include to great worksheets!

My students loved that I provided 1 or 2 theme-based games every week. I used them as a teacher directed small group activity and as an RTI intervention activity. They were also a great activity for parent volunteers to do with a small group.

Game #1: Lowercase Letter to Initial Sound Match:

Match the Snowman Hat Lowercase Letter with the correct Middle Section Initial Sound and the correct Bottom Section Initial Sound to make a complete Snowman.

Game #2: Lowercase Letter to Initial Sound to Uppercase Letter Match:

Match the Snowman Hat Lowercase Letter with the correct Middle Section Initial Sound and the correct Bottom Section Uppercase Letter to make a complete Snowman.
