This is a fun writing/drawing activity for kinders or dictation/drawing activity for pre-k kiddos! It’s best done after reading/discussing the book Snowmen At Night by Caralyn Buehner and Mark Buehner.
Students will think about what their snowman might do at night- ones that are able to write independently can fill in the blank on their own, and students that aren’t quite there yet can dictate for the teacher. Then they use the blank space to draw a picture of their snowman doing the thing they chose to write down.
Great for fine motor practice, creativity, imagination, and making connections to books!
