This is an exceptional set of art integration lessons using Robert Frost's poem, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." Students analyze the poem, use text evidence to predict who the speaker is (they guess Santa Claus!), and create beautiful snowy woods scenes using watercolor and tempura paint. This document contains step by step directions for creating the art project along with photos of each step. It also includes a decorated poem handout for students. This file includes a clear lesson plan for poetry analysis and background info on Robert Frost. This is my most popular art project of the year and makes a gorgeous bulletin board display!
