This center provides opportunities to do a variety of math sorts at different skill levels. It definitely would be great to use for Valentine’s Day/February, but is designed to be used throughout the entire year.
Students sort math cards into 2 categories – Sweet (correct) and Not So Sweet (incorrect). The cards are colored coded by type of skill. On the cards are either ice creams, cupcakes or lollipops. These pictures represent the skill level. There are 4 sets of mats with one set that has a more Valentine’s feel.
The center can be used for students to sort individually or as a partner/small group game.
