This cute set includes 6 different CCSS activities that can be used in many different ways, including small group instruction, independent practice of specific skills, and for use as literacy centers. Each one includes a recording sheet for assessment purposes. This unit has the following:

Making Sense of Sentences~ Students use word cards to create a sentence that makes sense, then record their sentence using correct capitalization and punctuation on their recording sheet.

Talking Turkey (Sentence Types Sort) ~ Students read sentence cards and sort the cards under the correct sentence type heading card. Students record two different sentences from each type using correct ending punctuation on their recording sheet.

Easy as Pie (Using Pronouns)~ Students read sentence cards and choose the correct pronoun for the underlined word(s). Students record their pronoun on their answer sheet.

Gobbling Up Story Elements~ This is a graphic organizer that can be used with any story. Students write about any book or story, telling about characters, setting, problem, and solution.

Thankful for Verbs (Verb Tense Sort) ~ Students sort sentence cards by the type of verb (past, present, or future tense). After sorting, the students will write down each underlined verb on their recording sheet.
