This math center game has students determining the value of the digits in two and three digit numbers and racing to the finish. Students can play with cooperative learning groups ranging in size from 2 to 4 players.
It works great for those early finishers or for those unexpected spare moments or for math with someone center if you use the Daily 5 framework.
Fits Common Core Standards (CCSS):
2.NBT.1 – Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones.
2.NBT.3 – Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
The recording sheet allows you to see how students are progressing with the skill.
