Description
This kit includes all that you'll need to conduct an in-depth classroom research project on animals. The unit tasks address common core standards for K-2 students, and the standards are included within each activity description. This research project encourages students to learn about the job of a wildlife biologist, research an animal, publish an All About book, and prepare a museum presentation for that animal (including a speech, poster, and model). Suggestions for free research sources and sample rubrics for each activity are also included.
This kit includes the following: Job profile info sheet, Wildlife Biologist job application,
You're Hired! Project letter, Research notes recording sheet, Speech notes recording sheet, Animal field guide, All About book publishing paper (designed to match the research paper, plus additional blank templates that can be used to create books across the curriculum!), and Project rubrics.
