Piggy Bank Free Read-Only Show

This game features a game board with eight animated characters, a character introduction slide, virtual die, four-question types of fifteen each for a total of sixty questions, a scoreboard, rewards and penalties for correct and incorrect answers, two extra reward and penalty options, and a winner celebration slide for a total of seventy-seven slides. All of the slides have sounds triggered by a button or transition to the slide. Every game slide has buttons to go back to the game board or the instructions.

How to Play:

If you play with teams, choose them randomly by whatever method you wish. Each team must select a team captain that will choose a character, question numbers, question answers, and other selections for the group. With each turn, the captain can be rotated to keep all players involved. You can also play with eight singles/groups or give more than one character to a player or group. Just do whatever suits your class’s needs best.

Players must choose a pig character to represent them. All characters have a separate scoreboard with their initials on them so players must remember their character’s name. The first player will click on the animated die in the board center. This will direct them to the virtual die. Hover over the bottom of the die and a play arrow will appear. Click on the play button to activate the die. Click again to stop it. This gives the player the number of spaces to be moved. Players must then click on the “Back to Board” button. Once there, they must click on their character the number of times for the amount they rolled. This will land them on a regular question or specialty space.

The regular squares are the large boxes in the middle of the board. They all operate the same way. They are “When Pigs Fly” or correct-incorrect statements, “Multiple Rolls” or multiple-choice questions, “Fill in the Bacon” or fill in the missing word statements, and “Roll in the Mud” or identify the picture slides.

When a player lands on one of these squares they need to click on the matching center square. This will take them to the corresponding question link board. The player will choose a covered square and click it. This will direct them to the question itself. The player must remember the question coordinate, for example, 5A so that when they are directed to the “Table Scraps”-correct answer slide, or the “Hog Slop”-incorrect answer slide, they know what covered box coordinate to click on for their dollar reward or penalty. After receiving the reward or penalty, the player needs to click on the “Back to Board” button and either add or subtract the dollar amount they received or lost. A “-“ symbol can be placed before the amount if necessary. After players add or deduct the dollars, play passes to the next player/team.

If players land on one of the specialty squares, “Money Tree” or “Money Pit” they need to click on the corresponding center square. This will direct them to a spinner. Click on the spinner to activate it and click again to make it stop. Players will remember the coordinate and click on the “To Money Tree” or “To Money Pit” button. This directs them to the actual Money Tree or Money Pit slide. The player must click on the coordinate the spinner landed on to receive their reward or penalty. The player must finally click on the “Back to Board” button and either add or subtract the dollar amount they received or lost. After players add or deduct play passes to the next player/team.

Players will take turns moving around the board as above. Each time they pass the “Cash Machine” they will add five dollars to their score.

There are a couple of ways to determine a winner. One is when all of the questions have been answered, the player/team with the most money wins. The second option is to set a time limit for the game. The player/team with the most money when time is up, wins. Regardless of the method, the winning player/team gets to click on the “Pig Party” button on the game board to celebrate!
