Students choose and follow a telenovela for 5 days and prepare a powerpoint presentation based on the notes they take. This is best suited for Spanish III or higher students and incorporates preterite, imperfect, and subjunctive verb tenses with thematic vocabulary for relationships, conflicts and resolutions. Students become familiar with the cultural phenomena of Telenovelas while listening native Spanish in context. I recommend students do this project with closed captioning on the television to facilitate comprehension. Created by Barbara Davis.
