It keeps them engaged and it's allows every student to be involved in the game and the entire lesson. The following concepts are covered in this full lesson plan: Through a guided discovery teacher/learner style along with a visual-verbal model, the students will be able to inspect knowledge on forces and critical thinking skills by uncovering the answers to the teacher’s steps to arriving at the one correct answer.
After a rapid question answer session on the critical elements of shooting, the students will be able to advance their knowledge base by projecting the answers to the teacher’s questions with 100% accuracy.
Using the critical elements of shooting along with 3 lines on the wall, the students will be able to utilize foot-eye coordination, gross motor coordination, and bilateral movements by executing the shooting skills at a line on the wall successfully.
During a skill specific game of “4 Goal Soccer,” the students will be able to develop foot-eye coordination, gross motor coordination, and bilateral movements by performing the shooting skill, scoring at least 1 point against the other team.
It's a good lesson to use with older kids, but has been done at the lower level in which it was a very successful lesson. Try it if you're looking for something other than the basic soccer games.
