PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

For students who have difficulty knowing what to say in social situations, this is a collection of visuals that present more than 50 opportunities to identify feelings, practice what to say, determine what/how someone might be thinking or what they might say.

There are opportunities to read body language, facial expression, and/or context. There are opportunities to think about how the person might be feeling and/or thinking, and/or what they might say.

There are realistic and cartoon-like clip art, photographs, and blank character outlines.
Visuals provide practice opportunities as they are, or can be used as a starting point for more discussion.

Students with pragmatic language disorders - particularly students with Autism Spectrum Disorders - need direct access to social situations to practice understanding the contexts, so that they can respond appropriately.

You can use the pictures as a jumping-off point for creating simple stories that you can use to help students regulate behaviors and increase perspective-taking.
