What educators are saying

I used this as an end of the year check in activity, and it was a nice way to quickly see how the students are feeling.

Description

Social-Emotional Learning is a must! These Social-Emotional Learning Activities included in this resource were specifically designed for the elementary classroom. A simple, yet effective daily check-in is great for quickly checking on students. I recommend sharing a daily slide and an emotion slide each week with your students. Every other day would be ideal too.

This resource provides 20 Daily Check-in slides.

  • Each of the Daily slides offers students a chance to express their feelings.
  • 2 questions are asked about how to process emotions
  • Quote of the Day
  • The challenge of the Day

Emotion slides give students a scenario of a student expressing emotions correctly or incorrectly. Students will answer by typing inside the box and explaining their answers. There are 2 slides per emotion for students to work with.

Emotion Slides include:

  • Happy
  • Excited
  • Self-Control
  • Angry
  • Worry
  • Sad
  • Scared
  • Stress (Gives examples of how to process stress)

What do you see? (4 slides)

Students will identify the emotions of the student by observing their body language. Students will type their answers inside the boxes on these slides.

*BONUS*

Calming down - This teaches students how to calm down.

Take a breath - Students will move images as they breathe in and out to learn to control their breathing.

Thank you for investing in your students and teaching them how to process emotions! This is SO important!
