Product Description
This project is a great supplement to the SpringBoard Level 5 Curriculum. It is similar to the "Brown Eye v. Blue Eye" experiment conducted in the 1970s. The goal of the project is to get students to understand that they and others do in fact judge people based upon labels.

The project can be adapted in various ways. Students are asked to post weekly reflections on a site called turnitin.com, but turnitin.com must be accessible through you school-system. If it is not, students may be able to post on a class blog, website, etc.

The project is meant to help students broaden their perspectives and have meaningful conversations about culture and acceptance. I video-clip from "Boy Meets World-Chick Like Me" is included in the presentation to assist students in understanding the project. It is explained to students that they are not expected to "dress" their label, they are simply to wear it.
