Part of the Teach for Justice collection
This resource is part of a collection of educator-created, expert-vetted resources to help you create learning environments to support every student, challenge biases, and encourage discussions around race and social injustice. Explore the collection.

These Google Slides and accompanying Google Doc worksheets allow students to have a better understanding of four key terms on social justice. In addition, students are then challenged to apply their knowledge of the key terms in a quick fill-in-the-blank assessment.

I have also included a Google Doc with the definitions pre-loaded for students to use as a reference or for any students who struggle.

Please see my Social Justice Book Study Unit for Bryan Stevenson's Just Mercy, and/or Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi's Stamped if you'd like more resources on social justice.

  • This is perfect for a sub day as it can be used as a stand alone lesson and has everything the substitute and students need to have a productive day!
