This packet was created to supplement some of the lessons, vocabulary, and skills taught by the Social Thinking curriculum developed by Michelle Garcia Winner as well as the Zones of Regulation (2011) by Leah Kuyper. Both curriculums and related materials are published by Social Thinking Publishing, and available at www.socialthinking.com.
This jeopardy formatted game can be played on any interactive device, such as a smartboard or i-pad. The slides can also be printed and used as task cards for use in any board game or activity. To print as task cards, change print format to ‘handout’ and select desired size, such as 4 or 6 slides per page. Print, laminate, and play!
To play on a smartboard or i-pad, open up to homepage displaying categories and point values. Have students select desired category and point value. Touch point value to open to social language prompt. To return to the homepage, touch icon in the bottom left side of screen. Record points on separate whiteboard or piece of paper.
Categories included in this packet include: Emotion sort, Identify the zone, using strategies, expected or unexpected, big problem little problem, and social toolbox.
