Having a hard time getting a percentage for eye contact or topic maintenance? Putting a percentage to social skills can be tricky. So, I created these social language and pragmatic rubrics to help making tracking progress of these tough areas a bit easier.
Each rubric has a 1-5 scale with criteria in each corresponding box. There are also boxes for you to record the date and score for up to 9 times. Included on each rubric are lines for you to make notes and a grid to graph your student's performance.
There is an example rubric for you included in the packet. There are rubrics for the following areas:
- eye contact
- initiating greetings
- responding to greetings
- turn taking in games
- turn taking in conversations
- topic maintenance
- asking questions during conversation
- non-verbal cues
- personal space
- identifying problems
- stating solutions
- stating perspectives
That's 12 DIFFERENT RUBRICS!
**There is also a page ( I recommend printing this double sided to save paper ) that has all of the rubrics in the packet in mini, minus the notes and graphing portions.
*** UPDATED 8/19/2014*** There is now a rubric for FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE! I have also added a mini rubric to the print outs, so there will be an extra page for you to staple if you choose to printout the minis.
*** 1/23/15 *** Now with CUSTOMIZABLE MINI RUBRICS and a full size CUSTOM RUBRIC WITH GRAPH AND NOTES. These rubrics are editable using PowerPoint. Watch this VIDEO
