Motivate student participation by using these exit tickets modeled after the popular social media sites Instagram and Twitter. If you can't beat them, join them! These are a hit in my classroom!!
2 documents included:
1) Students can "tweet their learning" by listing a central idea of the day's lesson supported with relevant detail "hashtags" which may include supporting details, reactions, or fun facts learned.
2) Students can create an instagram post where they draw what they learned for the day or an element of the day's lesson. There is space at the bottom for them to summarize a central idea of the lesson or a reaction.
The format is designed to be printed on 3"x3' (standard size) post-it notes to be easily affixed to any classroom surface. I usually have students stick them on the door as they leave the room.
Simply print the template out on plain paper. Stick a post-it on top of each box. Then, re-run the document through your printer again and the text-box will be transferred to the post-it! You could also simply print them on regular paper and cut them into slips if you did not want to use post-its.
Editable Word formats makes it easy to make the rubric meet your individual needs!
