What educators are saying

I used this with my 5th graders to talk about the do and don'ts of social media. It was very engaging for all students and I might use it with my 4th graders too!
This was a great resource for the dangers and safety precautions to utilize when using social media! Very eye-opening for students!

Students discuss their ideas and review guidelines for safely using social media apps and websites. This can be used as a classroom guidance lesson or small group counseling activity to promote safe social media practices.

I use this lesson with 6th grade, but it is appropriate for grades 5-6. Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), scoot handouts, scoot visual aids, answer key, optional PowerPoint slides to review scenarios overhead, and objectives assessment checklist.
