Use primary sources to teach your students about three of the social reforms of the 1800s. These reforms include the Temperance Movement, Prison & Asylum Reform, and Education Reform. Students will be engaged with the images and stories about the brutality of the time period that pushed so many to want to bring changes.
The lesson also includes directions for whole class, cooperative groups, or individual learning. The teacher can choose the best course for the classroom. A Student Handout and Answer Key is included too.
