Some students will continue to talk even when someone is clearly not interested. This basic social story goes through the concepts of how to know when to stop talking. Using body language, general social rules (don't keep talking if you know someone is late) and the idea of sharing words equally with others is explained. Examples of listening and how to respond so your listener knows you were listening are given. Also general concrete talking rules are given -- ie. don't say more than 3 sentences without visually checking in. Great for students on the autism spectrum.
