This is an activity to help children understand appropriate social interactions during Halloween. A cartoon scenario is presented that depicts five children trick-or-treating. A short story orients students to the overall situation. Four sections follow, including: facial expressions and gestures, perspective taking, supporting friends, and respecting others. Students are guided to "put themselves in the shoes" of characters and fill in the thought bubbles of each. The black-and-white cartoon can then be individually colored.
