Teenagers are exposed to negative peer pressure every day. They are very susceptible to this peer pressure as a result of developmental changes of the brain and an increased desire to create relationships. Negative peer pressure can be very destructive and lead to harmful habits. Teenager can learn to better protect themselves from negative peer pressure by understanding the dangers of it, learning to recognize it, and by developing social strategies to effectively deal with it.
