Many students do not realize the impact of their behaviors in the class. This is a short 40 question activity where students read different appropriate and inappropriate behaviors and they have to categorize them as annoying/inappropriate, unsafe, destructive, or appropriate. This activity designed to bring about an increased awareness of a student's behavior primarily relating to "the student's hands." It is also great for special educators needing documentation for Functional Behavioral Assessments and it can be helpful for IEP goal setting as well. I use it at the beginning of the year to gauge how well students understand their own behavior.
