This 40 page packet was created after years of using cooking activities with my students for in class groups in my self contained and IRR classrooms. The students love to cook (and eat!) and I was able to embed many of my goals into the group lessons including articulation, voice, fluency, receptive language, expressive language, AAC and social language.
(Color and black and white) Common core language standards that correlate to social language application in cooking activities
Cue cards for questions
Templates for job delegation, ingredient list, necessary kitchen items, group rules, sequence for steps in recipe, parent letter and home carryover template
My hope is that the visuals and templates in this packet will help you successfully incorporate cooking activities into your therapy lessons with a focus on social language!
