Many kids laugh at inappropriate things. They do not fully get the concepts of what is ok to laugh at and not ok. Kids want to get attention and make other kids laugh. They do not always realize that they are laughing at the expense of others. This social story describes what is FUNNY, giving student examples, and what is NOT FUNNY. Each example is show in a graphic way, with a social behavior map (situation - expected/unexpected behavior - how to others feel and how do I feel) to really open up the student to the perspective of others. Story is a great help to students who laugh at everything, who are overly silly, or who think being mean or making others cry is funny. Great for students on the autism spectrum.
