Product Description
This unique, hands-on product is the ultimate social skills instruction tool! It includes 5 social skills activities, organized into one lap book, designed for ongoing use! Explicit instructions, including photos, included for how to create lap book and how to use activities. Activities described below:

Social Wheel: Play Choices: Make a spinning wheel to help initiate play. Students can practice initiating play with peers using the wheel, which includes both words and picture prompts. It can be used throughout the school day to help students initiate play and generalize the skill.

Social Question Pocket: Includes 12 social question cards that students cut out. Depending on writing ability, they can write their answers on the back of each card. Then, they put cards into the “Social Questions Pocket.” Have students take turns asking the questions with their teachers and peers. The cards can be used throughout the school day to help promote positive social interactions.

Emotions Pocket: Includes 8 emotion cards where students cut out each emotion face and paste into appropriate box on cards. Then, cut out the emotions cards, and depending on writing ability, write their answer on the back. Put the cards into the “Emotions Pocket.” Students practice by telling a peer or adult about a time they felt each emotion. The cards can be used throughout the school day to help students explain their feelings.

If, Then Puzzles: Includes 6 sets, for a total of 12 puzzle pieces. Students cut out each set of puzzle pieces and then they mix up the pieces and practice matching the “If, Then” puzzle pieces. Put the cards into the “If, Then Pocket” when finished. Also great for class discussions about consequences. The puzzle pieces can also be used as a center activity (laminate for durability) or as a cut and paste activity.

Conversation Cards: Includes 6 conversation cards. Students fill in the blanks on the conversation cards, cut them out, and put into the pocket. They can practice conversation skills with a peer, using the cards as a prompt when they get stuck. These cards can be used during social groups or language sessions throughout the school year.
