This is an activity designed to help students who have difficulty with asking and answering questions.
It uses "what" questions that children are often asked like "what did you do today?" or "what is your favorite color?".
When children ask and answer questions, they have the opportunity to practice proper body language (eye contact, facing the speaker etc.) as well as social language.
The other element of this activity is practicing writing simple questions with a sentence started of "Yesterday I..."
This activity can also be adapted for a student who uses a device for communication or who needs support in the fine motor aspect of writing.
This activity is designed to go along with the Homework Journal. When students fill out their homework journal, the teacher can use the information to prompt the answers to these questions.
