Part TWO of EIGHT (more to come)!
Social Skills Mini Lesson on Impulse Control:
For some kids in therapy, learning basic social skills is an important part of their individualized treatment goals. Despite their presenting problems, learning how to interact appropriately with others allows the child to engage in more meaningful and constructive relationships with peers. This can improve self-esteem and sense of self, which in turn can lead to improvements in problem behaviors.
You can use this mini lesson on its own, or along with other mini lessons as a part of my full Social Skills unit to come soon! You can also chose to incorporate these lessons in the individual or group setting.
Included in this product is:
-Intro to Impulse Control
-Good and Bad Impulses
-Your Brain is like a Remote Control
-mini test on Impulse control with KEY
-ideas for teachers/counselors who are teaching Impulse Control lessons
