For some kids in therapy, learning basic social skills is an important part of their individualized treatment goals. Despite their presenting problems, learning how to interact appropriately with others allows the child to engage in more meaningful and constructive relationships with peers. This can improve self-esteem and sense of self, which in turn can lead to improvements in problem behaviors.
You can use this mini lesson on its own, or along with other mini lessons as a part of my full Social Skills unit to come soon! Parts 1 & 2 are already available! You can also chose to incorporate these lessons in the individual or group setting.
