Product Description
Everybody loves selfies! Use these wacky selfies featuring a cast of kooky characters to discuss social skills with your students. You can use the materials in any way you please, but I use it as a card game. No one can resist a little friendly competition :)

This product poses scenarios that require students to:
- relate to others
- read facial expressions
- make inferences about emotions/mood
- tell possible reasons for emotions
- respond to others' emotions
- start conversations
- respond to invitations
- react to uncomfortable or unexpected situations
- compliment others
- respond to compliments
- invite others to join in
- ask for help
- respond to personal questions
- respond to texts and more!

This download includes:
- 84 social skills task cards in this download that address the various social skills above.
- 6 blank cards so you can create your own task cards to target specific skills.
- 54 irresistible selfies
- 6 wild cards
- 1 game mat for the cards
- 1 handy dandy reference page about how to be social
- Explicit directions for prep and use

Easy Prep! No wasted paper! So many cards you can play again and again without it feeling repetitive!

To play as a card game, have students take turns. They should pick a selfie photo card AND a task card. They should refer to and study the selfie and then complete the task on the task card which require students to apply a variety of social skills in different scenarios. If their answer is appropriate, they get to keep the selfie. If it’s not appropriate, the selfie should be placed at the bottom of the selfie deck. Watch out for wild cards that shake up the game. Use that as an opportunity to further discuss disappointment, sportsmanship, etc. When the game is over (either at the end of the session or when a set timer rings) the person with the most cards from the selfie deck wins!

Another way to play???
Do you have a specific social skill that your clients or students need practice with? Then ditch the task cards and have them perform that specific skill (giving a compliment, interpreting mood, starting a conversation, etc) for every selfie they pick. You
may get more focused and individualized practice that way. Use the game in the same way but don’t use the task cards.
