This is an original social skills concept story of two siblings, Sid (Socially Inappropriate Dude) and Sis (Socially Inappropriate Sister). They go on unpredictable adventures and make lots of social mistakes in this Trick or Treat themed story! As you read each page of their story, you can use the question cards included to help your students figure out:
The choices that Sid and Sis make that are unpredictable.
What they should have said or done differently to make predictable choices
What others in the story might be feeling
What others in the story might be thinking
There is an ink saving black and white version as well as a color version of the story.
Blank templates to discuss expected/unexpected behaviors are also included.
You can read the story through, then discuss the unpredictable behaviors, what the other people in the story are thinking or feeling, and what the predictable choices would be. You can have the students act the story out and sequence the pictures for re-tell to extend the activity.
Great for use in social skills groups, speech therapy, counseling or whole class social language lessons!!
This original social concept story is also included in my MONSTER HALLOWEEN SOCIAL SKILLS BUNDLE!
The concepts expected/unexpected referenced in this product are from Think Social (R) materials from Michelle Garcia Winner. Please refer to the website www.socialthinking.com for more information.
