It is for use with children that have difficulty with fire drills and helps them learn appropriate replacement behaviors to use during fire drills in place of crying, screaming or running away. Each story comes with visual schedule cards/prompts that can be found as freebies in my store.
There are 4 sets of interchangeable pages for this social story giving you options such as the appearance of the teachers and more or fewer decorations on the page to help with distractibility.
Directions and Use:
Choose the interchangeable pages you would like to include in YOUR book. Print and laminate the pages. You could put the pages in sheet protectors and store in a 3 ring binder, or bind with your preferred method such as spirals, binder clips or staples.

Prior to implementation of a new social skills story, be sure to communicate the new task being taught to all the people involved in your student’s program. Provide a copy or share the steps of the task being taught in the story to those professionals working with the targeted student so everyone is approaching the task in the same manner.
Introduce the book to the student as you would other literary selections (i.e. look at the cover, discuss it, look at the pictures. Adapt as necessary for your student.
