This project is intended for students who struggle with social pragmatics skills. Students take ownership of their own social skill goals and use them to rewrite the lyrics to a popular song of their choice. Students deepen their understanding of the social skills concepts as they teach it to others. Students have autonomy over the song choose and the lyrics they write, which improves participation and engagement. Project includes a real life example of a song The Creative SLP's social skills group has written in the past as an example. After the students rewrite their song, use your creativity and help them film their very own music video! They'll LOVE it!
