The seasons change.
Here comes spring.
So many fun things it will bring...
including this fun new social story written to encourage students to do what is right with a positive attitude.
This 18 page social story comes in color and black/white versions. It is written for young children and begins with the arrival of spring. Two children are searching for Easter eggs. One finds an egg that looks good on the outside but unfortunately he soon finds out it is rotten. Just like eggs, some kids can be rotten too when they make rotten choices. Even though things don't always go our way, we can choose to have a positive attitude by looking on the bright side. With spring in the air, students are encouraged to choose to have a positive attitude instead of being rotten eggs.
In addition to the social story, a behavior sorting activity is also included. Two sorting mats (good eggs and rotten eggs) are provided along with 20 eggs with written scenarios. A page of blank eggs is also provided so teachers and students can make their own scenarios.
Finally, seven printable activity pages are included to use for follow up during social skills instruction. Activities include an attitude self-evaluation as well as materials for students who are both readers and non-readers.
