A rhyming social story addressing EVERY objective in the requesting (F) section of the ABLLS-R
Teaching requesting skills to students who do not naturally develop language can be difficult. The beginning requesting skills often come easily once students have a way to communicate because it is such a highly reinforcing skill to teach. However, teaching the remainder of the requesting objectives found in the ABLLS-R can be more of a challenge. To help, I wrote this rhyming social story addressing each objective in the requesting (F) section of the ABLLS-R. Although I do not expect students to magically develop requesting skills through reading this story, it is my hope that this will be another tool to help students with language delays understand the power of requesting.
This story can be printed, projected on a white board, or read as an ebook.
