I created this document specifically to help one
of my kindergarten students that has behavior
goals. He has a hard time with things like pulling
up his pants after using the potty, touching others,
putting things in his mouth, making loud noises
at inappropriate times, etc.
I drew simple drawings to help with specific
behaviors that he struggles with, and thought it
could help a lot more students nationwide.
My district is somewhat rural, and my student
only receives pull-out services on average 3x week
for about 25 minutes each time. I teach half day
kindergarten, and have no assistant. It’s a little
overwhelming for me too!
My rewards for him are specifically for him. I
suggest really figuring out 4 or more different
rewards to motivate good behavior, and offer them
immediately after completion of good behavior.
I also suggest introducing this book ONE page at a
a time, to not make it too hard to follow. I laminated
my book on cardstock, and made the rewards velcro
on the inside cover of the book, and put velcro on
each reward square, so that we could agree on a
reward before the behavior.
