This social story focuses on feeling angry. The story is geared for students can yell, growl, hit, kick, or make other unsafe choices when feeling angry. The story goes over 5 different safe and expected calming strategies students can use. As an added bonus it comes with a printable visual choice strip of replacement behaviors. This can be used when students are feeling angry and need a visual reminder of expected choices they can make.
Teachers can work with students 1:1 or in a small group to read and illustrate the social story.
Students can illustrate their own pictures to make personal connections to the story. My students enjoy adding speech bubbles with what they would say and adding pictures of them playing their favorite games.
This activity is a fun and and interactive way to reinforce and practice the expected behavior of winning and losing! Once finished, the story is a great tool to keep on hand to remind students of those expected behaviors!
Once opened the PDF just needs to be printed, cut in half, & stapled! Super easy and low prep work!
