Product Description
This social story is a great read for students who may need some support and help when getting changed for PE. Some students may get anxious about having to change their clothing, especially when not in their home setting. This social story is a way to encourage students to understand why they should change into their PE kit, why PE is important hopefully encourage them to change into and wear their appropriate PE kit.

Many students with autism are visual learners and like to learn through seeing something in action. This book comes complete with matching, simple yet engaging graphics to help describe what is being said on the page.

Comes in col option only - no b/w availability, however you can print in grayscale.

Pages included are;
♦ Taking part in PE is important to keep me active.
♦ Keeping active helps me stay healthy.
♦ When I take part in PE I have to make sure I wear appropriate clothes.
♦ I shouldn’t wear tall boots or high heels because I might fall.
♦ I shouldn’t wear jeans because I will find it harder to exercise.
♦ If I have long hair it’s best to put this into a ponytail so it’s out of my face.
♦ When we exercise a lot, we might sweat too. So our clothes might get smelly.
♦ My PE kit will be more comfortable for me to wear when exercising.
♦ Once I have finished PE I can get back into my normal school clothes.
♦ I can get changed in a cubicle in the changing room if I don’t want to change in front of others.
♦ If I don’t want to show my legs, I can wear long joggers.
♦ If I don’t want to show my arms, I can wear a jumper instead of a t-shirt.
♦ On my feet I should wear flat shoes, like trainers.
♦ (Alternative) On my feet I should wear flat shoes, like sneakers.

I recommend printing out each of the individual pages, laminating them and then binding them into a book so it will be easier for students to read - or be read to, as well as being stronger and longer lasting.
