This social story focuses on the need to appropriately and respectfully gains someone's attention. The story utilizes the replacement behavior of proximity and saying "excuse me" in place of yelling, hitting, kicking or touching someone to gain their attention. I have had great success in using this social story for students with emotional/behavioral needs, autism and life skills support students. Great for lunch bunch, speech therapists, guidance counselors and social skills lessons!
