Product Description
This social story is a great read for students who may need some support and help when going to a party, especially for the first time. Many children find it exciting yet overwhelming and scary when they're invited to a party and this social story is designed to help ease these feelings and prepare the reader for the party.

Many students with autism are visual learners and like to learn through seeing something in action. This book comes complete with matching, simple yet engaging graphics to help describe what is being said on the page.

Comes in col option only - no b/w availability, however you can print in grayscale.

Pages included are;
♦ I have been invited to a party.
♦ I am nervous, I have never been to a party before.
♦ First, I should find out the dress code so I know what to wear.
♦ I can then either choose something from my wardrobe or go shopping for a new outfit.
♦ If it is a birthday party, I should get a card and present for them.
♦ At the party, there may be loud music. If it’s too loud I can go to a quieter area.
♦ There might be flashing lights, if I don’t like them I could ask for them to be moved or turned off.

♦ There might be party fireworks too - these can make loud noises.
♦ When the cake is brought out we will all sing ‘Happy Birthday’
♦ The birthday person will blow out the candles on the cake.
♦ If it gets too much, I can ask an adult to call my parents.
♦ If it gets too much, I can ask my parents to take me home.
♦ My friends will understand and will be happy that I came to the party.
♦ When the party is over, I should say thank you.
