Interrupting is not a problem, it is a skill! This is a social skill that many children lack. They have something to say but they have to interrupt to be heard. Use the story to start your study of this skill and use the supplementary materials guide further instruction and discussion.
Social stories are an entertaining format that children can relate to. These stories state the problem, why it's a problem, and what to do about it. Print and fold this Little Book as many times as you like (Folding instructions included). Send a copy home so parents can read it with their child and reinforce your efforts in school. If a copy is damaged, print another. Collect an assortment of these little social story books and allow your students to read the books whenever they like.
Print the BIGGER BOOK. Use this to read to your class. In the BIGGER BOOK, pictures are large -- easier to see from a distance. Print the black & white version of the BIGGER BOOK. Use it as a coloring book for students. Send it home and have them color it with parents. Remember, social skills should be practiced in all settings.

QUIZZES - These are duplicates of the Discussion Cards. They print in black & white. There are two quizzes. One shows two scenarios that take place in school. The other has two scenarios that take place in the home. The steps from the poster are below each picture with blank space for students to write what the character in the picture should do.
