Little BOOK format - Two social story books on Personal Space (in Little Book form), matching posters, token charts, badges… all designed to help you teach children the importance of personal space. Social stories are not just for Autistic children. They are a visual support for any child who lacks a social skill.
Social stories are an entertaining format that children can relate to. These stories state the problem, why it's a problem, and what to do about it.
Print and fold these books as many times as you like (Folding instructions included). Send a copy home so parents can read them with their child and reinforce your efforts in school. If a copy is damaged, print another. Collect an assortment of these little social story books and create a Little Social Story Library. Then your students can read the books whenever they like. You might even keep copies in a break area (or Time Out area).

----This is an 8 page "Little Book" (3 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches) with color pictures to support the text. This book features the child who is violating the personal space of others. It talks about how others feel. It shows what personal space means.
Social story - Personal Space Companion book
---- This story presents the personal space issue from the point of view of the child whose space is violated. It talks about how this makes HIM feel and gives a suggestion on what the victim should do about it.

---- Three posters (print on 8 1/2 x 11 paper). These are in color and match the illustrations in the book.
---- Two token charts with tokens (Boy in a personal space bubble). These are in color. Included are instructions for use - as a positive reinforcer and as a response-cost intervention.
---- Included are badges (in color and in black and white). These have the look of an official police-type badge with a drawing from the book in the center. The drawing may be replaced by a picture of each child. Children can wear these to conclude the unit on personal space. These are a reminder to the children of their efforts and their successes.
