Young kids sometimes swear because they might be testing a new word to better understand its meaning. At times swearing happens accidentally when children are learning to say words.
When children swear they might also be trying to express a feeling such as frustration. Or they might simply be saying the word because it sounds funny or gets a reaction. They might also be imitating others when they swear.
This is a social story that teaches kids that swearing and using bad words is inappropriate and might get negative reactions from others. On every page there are visuals which are related to the social sentence.
Social Stories are used for teaching kids behavioral expectations. They work great with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Social Emotional Behavioral Difficulties (SEBD).
